This tank is a lot bigger than I expected and I was also happy that it got heavier. Our old aquarium was a small animal tank and it easily tipped over and the flimsy plastic also broke easily. The lid has an easy-open door and can also be easily removed. There is also a handy carrying handle. The plastic walls are thick, very stable and do not tip over. We keep pet snails in ours, and sometimes I have to clean the snails off the plastic walls with a soft cloth, it's easy to wash and doesn't scratch. You can't choose the cap color, you will just get random color, but our cap is pretty light green. It measures 11.5 inches wide, 9.5 inches high and 5.5 inches deep. Mouse, tarantula, frog or lizard unless it was just for travel but there is enough space for our snails.
