The kit helped restore two beveled bolt holes but not as smooth as I had hoped. like a hot knife through butter. There are no complaints. The faucet works well, there were no particular problems with it, but the second hole required more force than the first. The tap showed no signs of dulling, so I have to assume I cut into material, or maybe I didn't drill quite straight. I did, the coils leaked current and were tolerable to even start. I ended up buying another set of coils (I wanted longer ones anyway) at a hardware store and had no problems with them. I only did two holes, and although I screwed up three of this set before giving up, these newer (longer) holes worked on the first try with no starting issues. I compared the OD of the two coils with a digital caliper and the ones included in this kit are 0.25mm larger than the ones that worked. I can't say for sure what made them so difficult, but the fact that the new ones stood up speaks volumes. The installation tool seems cheap, just installing two coils puts a decent notch in the slot. , due to the slight pressure exerted when spinning the spools. I have no certainty that I will get much life out of it. All in all it worked and I now have a secure drivetrain mount. For emergency quick work I think this will work well and maybe if I put in more time and tricks I could get the supplied coils to work but I don't think it should be that hard. It's one of those tools that I'll probably use every blue moon (and hopefully not at all if I'm lucky); It's satisfactory for this type of use, but no more. If I had to use it regularly, I would definitely do without it.
