I installed them on a 1998 TJ and they seem to work pretty well. They seem sensible enough even on the freeway. Be sure to tighten the screws on the back of the mirror, I tightened them with a blue lock just to be sure as they were quite loose when I received them. I drilled screw holes in the bracket and lined up one with the stock lower windshield. Bolt. Then I just welded and painted the brackets. The metal on the brackets is pretty flimsy so I think they might wobble if you try to just screw them on.
