Good price. to outside mirror

As others have said some vibrate, whistle when driving and the mounting bolts are soft. I broke one. But on the bright side, I can see behind me now. It constantly adjusts and it was reasonable for the price. And I doubt that the twice the price are better.

Looks good, does the job

The price was right and Prime took 2 days to ship so I pulled the trigger. The product arrived on time and was well packed in the box. I'm happy with the look and the quality looks good. Assembly and installation are easy. I have an 80's CJ5 and ended up using existing brackets so I'm giving this review 4 stars.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Low repairability

backdated 20/10 - body and trim

Looks great compared to my 75 CJ5 which I bought used which had no mirrors at all. It's just a pity that my jeep (and all jeeps) vibrates. These mirrors do not isolate vibrations. So you can tell there's a car behind you, but you can't tell if it's a minivan full of soccer kids or a Crown Victoria full of men. who have not yet fulfilled their quota for this month. But given the price, you could be wrong. By the way, drive like Crown Vic.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Reliability

Complete Trash - Body

Tried to dress my 1976 cj7. Only two mounting holes match. To make matters worse, the arm is attached to the base at the wrong angle! The mirror points to the center of the windshield! You can't just twist the lever either, it has a hole drilled with a bolt that holds it to the base. To use this mirror I would have to drill new mounting holes in the mirror, as well as remove the bracket and drill an extra hole to mount it at the right angle. It amazes me how a company can sell such crap.

Pros
  • Inspires Confidence
Cons
  • Crumpled

good mirrors for the price

I installed them on a 1998 TJ and they seem to work pretty well. They seem sensible enough even on the freeway. Be sure to tighten the screws on the back of the mirror, I tightened them with a blue lock just to be sure as they were quite loose when I received them. I drilled screw holes in the bracket and lined up one with the stock lower windshield. Bolt. Then I just welded and painted the brackets. The metal on the brackets is pretty flimsy so I think they might wobble if you try to just…

Periodically check the screws holding the mirror.

I bought this mirror a few years ago for my restored 1976 Jeep CJ7. No problem. Except. The screws holding the mirror to the bracket are short (they should be, the mirror body is so thick). This jeep is used on the tracks. Over time, the screws will loosen or break out of the back panel. Coming home on the freeway, the mirror detached from his hand and flew down the freeway. Luckily there were no traffic jams - this is the land of jeeps. Moral of the story: Check your props often, especially…
