We got this as a back seat fan for our summer toddler. The controls are excellent, the speed has increased high enough for the air conditioning to circulate from the front of the car. It doesn't stay in place while driving, so it needs a lot of adjustment. We didn't use a battery (USB only) as it's cumbersome to remove the battery to keep it from melting. We bought a fan in May that broke in July. It was never removed from the car or played with so there is no reason it should have broken.
