Review on 🔧 Enhanced Metra 95-7863 Honda Element Double DIN Kit for 2003 and beyond by Trevor Garrett

Converting the stock Honda Element radio to 2 DIN standard works, but not without problems. Advantages: 1. Converts oversized OEM space to standard 2 DIN.2. Not pictured but comes with replacement side panels wrap around (1" filler either side of the radio). Cons: 1. Suspenders are plastic, not metal like OEM. As a result, they can bend and not install your radio properly.2. Will not work with existing side panels on my 2004 Honda Element. The radio and its surrounding filler are inclined and do not rest against the existing bezel. Therefore, you MUST use the supplied side panels for proper alignment.3. Only available in black. My 2004 Honda Element has a green and gray interior instead of black. So in scam #2 I'm forced to have a big black section when the rest of my dashboard is grey. YMMV.4. Although the kit includes a replacement side panel (required by item #2) it does not include the necessary metal clips to attach it which you will need to detach from the existing panel. Like I said, it works, but it may need some improvements. Unfortunately, it has to be recommended as it is almost the only option available.
