This is a good solid luggage rack, it's very easy and convenient to travel around the airport, I couldn't fit it under the seat in the plane in length , but I could do it sideways, I have a very small dog that had plenty of room but due to some new planes these areas are getting smaller. I found that one of the reasons for this is that it has zips on both ends and is very durable and they don't bend at all so you can't push them through. I have another one that gets crushed and because of that it worked better. But putting that aside worked really well. I should add that I was seated in business class and I think these dimensions may vary by coach. It's worth checking these measurements for both the seat and the trunk.
