Not compatible with Linux

I've tried everything to get LINUX to find GRUB to boot the OS. Absolutely unlucky or the drive is not compatible with LINUX. The hard drive itself works great as a slave, but once you expect it to work as a master for LINUX, it doesn't provide the boot information needed to start the operating system. I tried LINUX MINT (based on UBUNTU). I tried DEBIAN LINUX Original. I have installed LINUX MINT several times without error messages, including installing GRUB. Nothing on reboot! The boot sector, or any data that may have been written to it, goes straight into the digital darkness of disk storage. Some of Grub has been written to disk, but this is very useless as it throws the error "attempting to read or write out of bounds". disk hd0" As far as I know, all data during installation should end up on this disk, the only one. Why try to read or write outside the disk, for example, due to an air bubble? I took 500 GB from another computer that worked as a slave Installed LINUX MINT without a single problem 1TB GOLD turned out to be a slave in the above machine for storage. I'm finding more and more that some OS vendors are paying OEMs to make their hardware work with LINUX, very hard Sad, sad, almost like a white house. runs straight into the digital darkness of hard drive storage. Pros
  • Tackle heavy workloads with 1TB to 14TB WD Gold enterprise-class hard drives | One terabyte (TB) of storage capacity = one trillion bytes Total available capacity varies by operating environment
Cons
  • Very expensive
