If it weren't for Mom's chia miners, then there would be a good disk. At the current price of 70k +, this is definitely not worth buying. Has pros: * Sustained sequential write speed ~100MB/s. * The price of 25K, at which I bought before the influx of miners * Not noisy Its cons: * It gets very hot, like any other drive stuffed with pancakes to the eyeballs. I've tried everything to get LINUX to find GRUB to boot the OS. Absolutely unlucky or the drive is not compatible with LINUX. The hard drive itself works great as a slave, but once you expect it to work as a master for LINUX, it doesn't provide the boot information needed to start the operating system. This is my sixth WD Gold hard drive. I love her. I have dozens of hard drives. I know what it's like when a hard drive fails. Even with backups, it's a pain. This is unlikely with WD Gold drives as they are the most reliable drives in the industry. I recommend ALL users to buy these enterprise drives and avoid so-called consumer drives. This is my fourth WD Gold drive and so far I have no complaints. I've used almost all major hard drive brands. I've learned the hard way what fails a hard drive. For this reason, it is extremely important to have a backup copy. I hope the WD Gold drives are as reliable as they claim to be.
