It works wonders, best in unlit tanks. Many fish don't see red and some do, so they may or may not always work. Fish that see red are better caught with the aquarium lights off. I like it a lot, even though I use it on cichlids they are still a lot easier to catch than those green black ones. If you have cichlids remember that they are very clever fish and will outwit any trap but few can help them get tangled so you can pull them out easier like this neat net.
