I bought a Braun Series 5 to replace a Norelco triple head shaver that I have used for seven years and I highly recommend it. For my mustache, this brown offers a much better shave than anything I've had before. He shaves much more closely - I would call it "a day closer" as the next day after shaving it feels like I just shaved Norelco. If the beard is a bit rough/hard, Braun needs a lot fewer passes and works a lot faster. Likewise, the finer white hair under my chin (I'm a little older) is instantly picked up by Braun, while I swear Norelco was so ineffective that you essentially buffed it out with an external head. I use Williams Lectric Shave as a pre-shave conditioner and I don't get any irritation from the razor or other cuts, stretch marks etc. The device looks well made and is pleasant to use. Definitely strong enough to effortlessly shave off a three day old beard. The only downsides are the inconvenience of having a separate trimmer attachment (rather than a hinged one) and the lack of a protective head cap. Based on the speed and quality of the shave I feel like a five star product.
