Review on 🌞 bayite BYT-7A006: Quiet DC 12V Solar Hot Water Heater Circulation Pump with 3M Discharge Head and 2.1GPM Flow Rate by Patrick Diaz

I liked this pump more than any 12v pump I've bought. Unfortunately, the food grade is misleading. Sometimes it seems to get stuck or suck air and eventually fail. It seems to get stuck in one spot and when the engine returns to that position it won't start. I've gone through one of these every year for the past 3 years. Everyone fails the same way. The wiring also turns black and also conducts poorly (no waterproof cable). My pumps seem to get stuck with algae and end up causing problems. I have installed a strainer at the inlet which filters out most of the algae in my water feature but this seems to be a bug in my application. Has been working great for almost a year. We have severe frosts here, so they drain it and keep it without water for the winter. The later in the summer, the more algae, the sooner it falls out.
