The lifting piston was partially extended preventing proper assembly. I had to rig-up the wiring to retract the piston before assembly could be completed. After about 2 or 3 weeks, I moved a TV into the bedroom and put the bed into a sitting position. It sat higher than I thought it would, almost chair - like. Great for TV viewing. When I started it back down, toward the flat position, it must have got in a bind on itself and it had a "Metal Popping Sound" when it released. It now sounds like an Old Fashioned wooden squeaking bed when climbing in and out. Also, this bed with an 11" mattress is quite high for my 5' 4" wife.
