Review on 🔊 Enhanced Dayton Audio SA100 100W Subwoofer Plate Amplifier by Catherine Foht

I bought this to breathe life into a BIC F-12 subwoofer that had a broken plate amp. The BIC subwoofer has a 12" driver. I was out of warranty. So I had nothing to lose and when I found this $109 product it was a lot less than replacing an entire subwoofer so I got it daring. The old subwoofer would shut down at high volume due to overheating and the lack of a radiator in the back. When you're in the pool and really cranking up the tunes at high volume, you really want that bass to stay on target. When it disappears, it ruins the whole song. To install the new amp, the hole in the back of the original case had to be enlarged. A small operation with a jigsaw and a fine-toothed blade was enough to make the new amp fit perfectly. The new one Amplifier drives a 12" speaker perfectly with much more power and response. As expected the original BIC plate amp was weak, muddy in response on and basically crappy. To be honest I think it offended my music. I will continue to abuse this subwoofer at high volume for several months and report back. If this sub doesn't break down over the next few months after much heavy use, then I think the five stars I gave it from the start will be justified.
