Installed as fan switch on Jeep CJ with 304V-8, 16" electric fan, aluminum radiator. Relay was used to control fan voltage, fan switch was used to control relay ground. I changed the engine coolant. After installation of the switch bleed the system and bring the jeep up to operating temperature. The fan switch tripped, the fan turned on and then off again within the temperature range. 2 days later I am driving jeep again. The fan switch did not work. after about an hour of driving. Fortunately the temperature on the engine temp gauge never went above 215 but I had to bypass the switch to keep the fan on after the switch failed.could have welded my engine if I hadn't seen the temperature rise and turned the switch off before the temperature got too high. Finally. Don't waste your money with me t this switch.
