I don't know what some people are complaining about. This is my third year using this for a fall pumpkin Christmas laser lights that turn on and off November through January each year. So in use in cold rain and snow. Also the heat and the sun from late September to October. It is very well constructed and easy to use. Set it to the timer with the slide switch, press the black tabs that form the outer ring to the time you want the device to turn on, then turn the time wheel to the desired time in night or day color range. Can't beat the price and works really well. It's nice to buy something mechanical that works and has stood for several years. There's no Alex, no Wi-Fi, no other nasty stuff to get through. Just make sure to reset the time when the power goes out, just like your other electric clocks. Common sense, but I forgot about it before and then wondered why the time seems wrong.
