Amazing wish I could have gotten this sooner! Doesn't let liquid through either the mattress or the blanket, my son is 8 years old. The floor stays completely dry. Even after 2+ weeks of use, it comes out clean every time with no issues. I have a standard mattress topper but even that leaks small traces of liquid but this one doesn't! I think that's all you need to protect your mattress from accidents. I ordered the largest as we have a full mattress. It completely covers the mattress and also offers plenty of space along the length. The material on the back magically keeps it in place and it never moves at night when my son rolls over and he is very active asleep. It's soft as a towel and the blue/red/wine color goes well with my sons sheets! It comes with washing instructions. I highly recommend reading and following it if you intend to use it for the life of the cover (about 500 washes). I also ordered a change and I'm glad I did! The material gets heavy in the washing machine and takes longer to dry, which is understandable and I won't mention it as a downside. It would be interesting to see if this would also help in caring for adults or other parents with older children suffering from uncontrolled bladder. This definitely helped my 8 year old get up a few times a night to go to the bathroom and also helped him establish a routine and made him more comfortable than sleeping with those nasty pull ups!
