Grades are in the wrong place. Note that it has markings for 1Β°, 2Β° and 3Β°. You would think that would mean 1, 2 and 3 degrees off, right? Not correct! As far as I can tell these markings have nothing in common. However, notice the series of small short lines. You know, little line segments radiating out from the center in four directions. I measured it with a precision instrument and noticed that these little marks are in about 1Β° increments. Give or take a degree or something (yes, not everything is that precise). So the first little mark is actually about 1 degree, the second little mark is actually about 2 degrees, and so on up to about 14 for the furthest. So the label that says "1Β°β is actually 3 or 4 degrees. Where "2Β°" is written, it's actually about 8 degrees. Judging by the markings I was expecting the bubble to read up to 4 degrees. But it actually reads about 14 or 15 degrees. Not at all the accuracy I expected. If you want 4 degrees of accuracy as the markings indicate, this is not the case. I never expected the accuracy of a scientific instrument for the price and size. But I think it's not too much to ask that the marks are roughly in the right place. It works great as a simple level. If you just want something that shows if something is roughly even, or shows that the angle is slightly larger or smaller, that's fine.
