Review on Watts 500800 Instant Recirculating Install by Nate Eich

This product will not work with new water heaters that have heat trap nipples. I called Watts and a customer service representative. confirmed it. Nowhere in the Watt documentation that comes with the pump is this mentioned, and more importantly, nowhere in the Revain description is this mentioned. I installed this product according to the instructions and when it didn't work it took some research to determine the problem. I've also spent quite a bit of time looking for a workaround and there isn't one. Water heater manufactured by Mfg. tells me that removing the dielectric heat sink nipple will void the warranty. Watts and Revane needed to clarify that in some situations this item would not work. Of course, when I discovered this, the return window was closed. This is an expensive item and now I have lost this money without the right to seek help. Revine needs to fix this mess. I'm always more wary of buying big tickets from Revain.
