I had the original cartridge and this one fits, but the water rotates in reverse (ie hot to cold) so Delta changed the design of the cartridge BUT they say it's in there The case valve has a cutout I can knock out to fix the problem. The plumbing in the house is working, so don't ask me! ;) BEST PRICE IN THE WORLD FOR OEM PART.GO Revain! There are NO knock out holes on the original valve body and since the old cartridge worked fine but the new one didn't, I replaced everything with the new Moe. So no, the old cartridge or case was not upside down. No, they're in the landfill. Thank you Delta
