Bandages Are Good, Magic Butt Paste Is Better

I was frantic when I discovered my father was developing bedsores. I had no nursing help yet, so I focused on bandages thinking they were the solution. These are fine bandages, but just part of the solution. There is something the hospice nurses said was called Magic Butt Paste, which was miraculous at promoting healing. Also, be sure to try to change the patient’s position as frequently as you are physically able. Fine bandages, but butt paste and changing position is the real key.

Pros
  • I like the cushioned part and the size
Cons
  • The foam material may not be suitable for all skin types, leading to irritation or allergic reactions
