We had a smaller version (26-28#) of the NewAir ice maker for a couple of years and loved it...then it died. It was a good run. So I ordered a similar one from a different brand...it was awful and a waste of $110. So a few weeks later I ordered a bigger NewAir and we REALLY love it! It makes a few more cubes at a time and holds a little more ice cubes. If the sensor becomes blocked and stops making ice, you'll have a pretty full bucket by then. It holds more water, so it doesn't need to be refilled as often. The only reason I give it 4 stars and not 5 is that it is quite noisy and it is in our small 700 square meter. ft. The smaller version has a small fan opening on one side only. It has a fan opening on both sides and the entire back is open. Hopefully that means it'll last longer with better engine ventilation, but it also means it's a bit noisier. Not just falling ice...I don't mind, but you'll hear a lot more of the cooling fan chilling the water into ice cubes. Not a deal breaker, but something buyers should be aware of.
