I love this tape measure and here's why. First, let me break down the categories I'm rating it in, into Durability, Visibility, Ease of Use, Reliability, and Price. Durability First: This item is well made, very well made. I have used some less durable bands in the past that would stretch 4 or 5 feet and the band would snap and not hold straight. Since it was 10-15 feet longer than your average band, I was half expecting it. tape, and the 8-foot section hovers with no acceleration. It's big, durable, and not flimsy at all like the others. Simply well built. A+ visibility is right here: Again, it's just great, the numbers are big, no metric or messy fractions to clog up the inch divisions. (yes, it still has 1/16 breaklines). It is highly reflective and you can see it clearly in very low light. I literally thought it glowed in the dark when I first used it in a dim basement. It's so reflective and easy to read. Also, the inch markings underneath are feet and inches, so for 66in 66in 5ft-6in, it shows amazing again. This is really great for quick field checks and measurements in poor visibility. Ease of use: Perfect here too. The tape snaps back with speed and force without pulling or snagging. And best of all, the lock button actually does it. CASTLES. I can't tell you how many ribbons I used, which is slow, but surly the lock button is more of a "slow drag" button. This is not the case here. Blocking works flawlessly and tracking works effortlessly. Reliability: If you're like me, you don't just use this thing to measure the table in your beautifully designed kitchen. . In fact, you use it in the field or when renovating a house. This thing passes the test. Cold / hot / dirty / wet / this thing works great. A+ Also here. Price: Hmm yeah it literally wins the internet here, it's the cheapest in its category at 35ft. Check out Home Storage, Lows, Walmart and even eBay. That's all. Okay, I can't believe I just wrote this long roulette review, but seriously, the amount of cheap junk I sometimes get between Amazon and eBay purchases.
