Based on some reviews I read about them being waterproof as advertised, upon delivery I decided to take the extra step of caulking all the holes on the headlights with clear silicone. I only used marine grade silicone because I already had it, but I suspect almost any silicone will do as long as the surface is properly cleaned to ensure good adhesion. I wipe the headlights with alcohol for gluing. I applied silicone to all of the threaded holes, around the lens, and all of the open drain holes, including the area where the wires exit the case. I let the lights sit in the sun long enough to mount them on the trailer. (I didn't do a leak test, didn't think about it at the time) Installation was easy, waterproof performance is good so far, I've dropped the trailer in the water at least a dozen times and had no leak problems. The lights are very bright. Headlights bought in early November. I hope I give useful information and advice. I'll update after a few trips to the boat ramp.
