*WARNING* Wrong size, but follow it!

*WARNING - CHECK THE SIZE OF THE HOLE ON THE TRAILER* (review below - read the caution first) I ordered this jack because the current jack bent when it went on a hike on the rim a pothole in a low road. I've had several trailers with different types of jacks and this one is just as good as mine. Absolutely great jack for the price BUT MAKE SURE you check/measure the frame hole diameter before ordering. The body tube on this jack is approximately 2-1/4 inch (or 2.25) outside diameter (OD) while the inner post OD is 2-1/8, give or take a tiny measurement here or there. I have attached photos of my pendant which actually has two separate openings. If your trailer is too, you will need to (1) check the OD of the top hole; (2) check the OD of the bottom hole; and (3) measure the distance between the seat of the mounting plate and the second hole through which the jack must pass. As you can see from the photos, the OD of my trailer's top opening is 2-1/4, so no problem. However, the second hole has an outside diameter of about 2-1/16. When I tried to install the jack, the inner pillar didn't go through the second hole. It wasn't a big deal, but then I realized that the larger outer case also had to go through the second hole in order for the mounting plate to sit properly on the frame. There is a relatively small clearance between the mounting plate and the end of the housing tube. So I suggested measuring the distance between the top of the frame where the mounting plate fits and the second hole. All of these issues should be clear from the photos I've attached. Overall, it's my fault for not doing my due diligence before ordering. Bottom Line: Take the time to understand exactly what you need for your trailer before you order it. Has really smooth and easy gear rotation and it's not like a worm gear that requires rotation to get meaningful column extension. I'd like the right size, but oh well. I also recommend. In fact, I love this jack so much that I will not be returning it despite the sizing issue. I will either put it on a newly purchased service trailer or use it to raise/lower the miter saw on my workbench. Has really caught on. I can tell my wife I need to buy another jack and I don't have to ask her to buy another jack for my saw. It worked great! Hope that helps.
