Carefully remove the screen with a heat gun. My advice is to get it in a low position and pry it off with the tools provided. Be careful not to overheat the glass, it's easy to forget it's electronic. The instructions were pretty helpful but was still able to find a YouTube video showing how to remove the ribbon connectors. It took about 20 minutes although this isn't my first screen swap. Take your time and keep the small screws on the LCD in a safe place, I kept losing mine. The little broken glass is crap too, I had trouble wearing gloves when disassembling it, so I just taped the old screen over with masking tape.
