Review on 🔧 Sierra International 18-2145 Bravo Shift Cable for Mercruiser by Harley Franchetti

Poor design. The faucet broke immediately. The cable is thicker which would help any boat that has had shifting problems in the past, but the thicker cable makes the fitting thinner. By the end of the thread, the wall is less than 1 mm. That might be fine with stainless steel, but definitely not good enough with brass. Mercrusier manufacture specifications call for 65 lb/in to tighten the nut, but the fitting broke at 35 lb/in. I ended up with a spare cable which I hand tightened and secured the locktight. I will look for a different cable for my next replacement.
