Runs like clockwork - 2001 Century

Received this part today. The exchange lasted 45 minutes. Everything fits perfectly. I particularly liked the longer power button. In general very satisfied. That's definitely better than the 400 I was quoted at the store. I'm not picky, but this is made in Taiwan, not China. What I did: I unscrewed the screw cover in the middle of the door and unscrewed the two screws there. Screw behind the lock loosened. Fairing, separate electrical connections (pry off the end closest to the front of the vehicle first). Pry up all edges. I used a very large flat head screwdriver. It's a little difficult. The door is held in place by plastic latches that slide out. Try prying them open right where they come out of the inner molding. BE CAREFUL NOT TO FALL THE DOOR. The tweet speaker wire needs to be disconnected or you will break the soldering. Disconnect the tweeter and mirror power connections. Put up a door somewhere. Slowly remove the water barrier. He'll come back later, he'll stay here. You only need to remove the left side, don't worry about removing the speaker. Compare the installation in the door with the new part. Slide the window up so the push bar is in the same position as the new part. Seal the window with tape. Glue it on the outside and on top of the frame. Remove the two screws that secure the slide bracket to the window. Pay attention to how the foil is attached. Remove the two screws at the top of the rail. Separate the bottom two. Loosen the three screws that secure the motor/controller to the door. Slide it up and in and pry out the hole on the right side to disconnect the power connector. Pull everything out. Insert a new node. The cables are connected at the top of the guide. The cable sheaths are crossed once as shown in the product image. First screw in the motor/controller. Screw on the guide assembly, the part with two screws at the top and two at the bottom. Align the window to align with the holes in the slide bracket. Install the two screws that secure the window to the bracket. Connect the motor/controller power cable. At this point I reattached the window control panel, peeled off the tape and checked the window. If something is wrong, it's better to find it now than after you put everything back together. Connect everything else. Hope that helps.
