First off, this is NOT the audiophile gear that Pyle has been making for years past. The name seems to have been bought by a Chinese company. However, I just needed an inexpensive waterproof audio system for my boat. I bought a cheap Pyle head unit and picked them up. These speakers are NOT 40 ounce magnets. They're Chinese junk with a plastic frame, but they sound ok and loud enough when plugged into a Pyle "300 watt" head unit. As many others have said if you are looking for quality audio this is not what you want. to buy. However, if you just want to listen to music without spending a lot of money, these should suit you. I like them the way they are.
