The timer on older dryers will corrode and eventually stop turning. It was a replacement that worked with no problems. Do the following at your own risk: Unplug your tumble dryer. Remove the rear top cover of the dryer. After removing the tiny set screw, you have to turn the dial to move it, which is the only tricky part. I replaced the wires one by one with a new dial to avoid making a mistake. The new dial then rotated and snapped into place and it was ready for the stylus. It worked well. I think it's a bit pricey but I couldn't find a cheaper item elsewhere and it arrived quickly. It would probably be a good idea to order a spare tire in case this model goes out of production.
