Cheap and light
I bought a pair of these duvet inserts. They are inexpensive and not overly warm compared to most duvet covers. I live in a mild climate so this is perfect for me. It's supposed to be an insert, not a duvet, so I wouldn't use it without a duvet cover. Instead of loops to attach to the duvet cover, I use safety pins. Duvet covers tend to slip into the cover if they are not secured at the top, bottom, and sides. I read in other reviews that washing ruins it. Because it's cheap, I just wash the duvet cover and replace the insert when it needs to be replaced instead of washing it.
