The stand is well made but the installation instructions are terrible! I emailed the company for instructions as others had suggested and received a response within hours. Once installed (and watching an online video of attaching the kayaks to the vehicle) the racks worked great and held both kayaks securely. Here is the photo email I received from IKURAM. . . In fact, our kayak holder can be installed in two ways according to your 3 use cases: 1. For the SUP and Kayak, you need to install all our accessories, and then place the SUP or kayak on Item No. 8 (clamping plate) and use the rope, to tie the SUP to the kayak holder, see attached picture 2. For the skiboard, you don't need to install our item #3 (25 x 5000mm strap) and install our item #8 (clamping plate) first when all the accessories are installed , then place the skiboard in the kayak holder. Finally, you can use item #8 (clamping plate) on the top of the ski board to tie the ski board, see attached picture.
