Review on πŸͺš 8-Inch 48 Tooth TCG Diamond Knockout Saw Blade with 5/8-Inch Arbor for Mild Steel and Ferrous Metals by Oshlun by David Grajales

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great price and seems to be the best value for money

I bought 2 of these blades for about the price from Freud Diablo or Lennox to try them out. In the last year I've used probably 20 blades from different manufacturers. In my opinion, Freud is at the top, but costs about $50 a blade. I've cut some 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 and even 1 inch thick sheet metal with a Milwaukee hacksaw. The first Oshlun blade cut well for the first use, but then a tooth fell out right in the middle of the cut with no change in pressure or speed. It quickly turned into a useless blade. I thought I got exactly what I paid for. However, the second blade holds up well and sheds a lot of chips. So there is no jury yet. I'm close to getting the same life out of a second blade as a brand name blade, but the first blade was only a quarter of the normal blade life I see. So I've ordered 2 more blades and will try to update the review once they've been tested. The low price is still tempting. Update: Bought and used more of these. Concluded that despite the variability in life expectancy, they are a bargain. Others don't last long enough to justify double the price. Additional note: A pair of Oshlin blades were resharpened with an Acme tool and two of them received phenomenal life for $17 each.
