I've always wanted and needed OttLite; I work with polymer clay and seeing colors correctly is important to me. Nothing is more frustrating than making something that's ONLY the perfect shade of pink, only to find out in the sun that it's actually more like a peach shade, which I hate. The problem is that as a disabled vet I could never afford it. When someone told me I could just buy a lightbulb and put it in a table lamp I already have, I was overjoyed! I grabbed this pup and got to work. impressed; it changed EVERYTHING! I really see what I'm doing now and there was no more frustration when I was painting things in colors that turn out to be completely different, from slightly wrong to "how the hell did THAT happen?!" I can see clearly what I do and I don't blink! I also use it to see what I'm drilling, both with a magnifying glass and for soldering. That's great! Color matching is now a breeze! Too bad I didn't know that when I started working with polymer two years ago! I would save enough clay to buy OttLite! (crooked grin)
