As others have pointed out the printer works very well but I was surprised at how good the software was. In general, I find the software that comes with such products to be very poorly designed and limited in functionality. However, the Brother software is fairly full-featured (including the ability to import CSV files or connect to an SQL database) and logically laid out. I was able to print a series of labels from data in an Excel spreadsheet with a custom layout in less than 30 minutes after opening the box and without reading the documentation. The software has two modes; a simplified mode for people who just want to print simple labels using some standard templates, and a power user mode where you can connect to external data sources and do all sorts of fancy things (barcodes, QR codes, complex layouts, etc .) . ). ) In addition, the printer is equipped with a cutter that (optional) automatically cuts labels to the correct size (or the size you specify when using continuous paper).
