I have naturally thick, curly hair and even with some of the more expensive flat irons I get less than brilliant straightening results. That being said I have to admit that I wasn't really expecting much from this straightener, I just needed a replacement as my other one recently stopped working. It sits a little apart between two irons and I've found that depending on how and where you're holding it, the temperature will accidentally change, which can be annoying as you have to keep checking to make sure the iron is set to the desired temperature.
