Review on Stanley 51 104 Ounce Rubber Mallet by Christopher Buck

This Stanley rubber mallet has quickly become one of my favorite tools. (I paid about $5 for this as an "add-on".) It's a good weight, neither too heavy nor too light. The wooden handle is durable and has a smooth finish to prevent chipping. The rubber head and handle appear to be well attached so I expect it will last for many years. The lack of catchy logos makes it look simple and stylish. The sticker attached to the handle wasn't that easy to remove, but that's the only flaw I found. I've used it to assemble Elfa storage system components in my garage, which requires hammering metal parts together. and lots of drywall anchors. I also prefer to use it instead of a hammer when driving nails to hang canvases on walls. It's great for enlarging holes and stabilizing toggle screws in drywall before using a drill. This hammer delivers good torque with minimal effort. The design distributes the force evenly and the rubber head prevents damage that can be caused by a traditional hammer. After weeks of heavy use (as it was the only hammer used to install the entire garage storage system) the rubber head is dent free and the part still looks brand new.
