So I had a problem with my brush rod not turning when I applied the slightest pressure on it. After doing a little research on YouTube and reading some great Revain reviews and tips, I decided to spend $24.99 and order a new Dyson DC 14 OEM clutch that came with both belts. After taking 20 minutes to install and assemble it went like clockwork and I'm very happy with the money I saved by taking it to a repair shop or buying a new vacuum because I have mine Dyson love. I have attached a photo of the failed clutch and you can see the black melted belt on the clutch which should be white. I also gave up buying a belt tensioner tool to see if I could make it myself and it worked, simply using a large screwdriver to grab the brush belt and with a little effort and patience to walk around. shrub grove. I couldn't believe how tight my old belts were because of the old clutch. They've stretched to almost twice the size of my new straps in the 12 years I've had the Dyson, so I've gotten a lot of life out of them. I've also found that cleaning requires more maintenance than just cleaning the brush when it's filled with carpet and dog hair. I would advise you to take apart the ends of the brushes and the rod that goes in the middle because I also found a lot more dog hair there restricting the grip and motor, causing unnecessary wear and tear to your Dyson. I hope this review helps someone else in the future.
