I bought it because I read an article about file systems. especially this type of filter and the value of the 5 micron filter. The article said that a 5 micron filter is almost as good as filtering through a mesh door! So. I decided to try 1 micron filters. I have these filters at the "head" of our water source and just before the water enters the house. The 5 microns seemed to filter. the filter is always "dirty" when I change it, but the paragraphs in the article bother me. in order to. I'll try 1 micron. Update value later!
