I bought 4 of these alarm clocks to update my old alarm clocks. As long as I'm happy with it. I'm not a fan of needlework, but it wasn't difficult to install. Used 3 screws and the old one used 2. I like that they have a mute button which the old ones didn't have. False alarms are annoying and you have to stand near the detector for a few minutes waving a towel to silence the alarm, especially if you've just boiled water. Since they only last a few days, I can't rate the battery life. I also hope that if the block needs to be replaced, the part attached to the wall can be reused. My only problem was mounting the detector on the wall so it was straight. I have mild OCD and had to reposition one of them twice to fix it. At first I bought 3 packs but I needed the 4th and ordered it separately. One unit will cost significantly more than ordering multiple packs, so bear this in mind when ordering.
