This is amazing. I am a tenant and my apartment complex is currently only undergoing emergency repairs due to COVID. You will not fix heat or water. They will not fix anything but will provide parts to repair themselves. So I swapped my garbage chute. The water outlet from the vent was a bit lower than the old vent so once the pipe was installed everything didn't line up exactly. (To be fair they were sealed with hopes and gum prior to installation. Give them a good nudge and they will leak). There were no spare pipes on site and this plumbing is definitely more than my salary as a renter. So I took this material and wrapped the leaky seams within an inch of their life. It's been 2 months and the newspaper I put under the pipes hasn't gotten wet since! I hope this continues until we are all vaccinated and regular maintenance can fix it properly.
