To add a new 3.5 inch hard drive to my HP ProDesk 600 G2 SFF, I needed exactly these screws. The screws inside the server only worked on the optional 3.5-inch bay. The 3.5" main drive bay required these screws, which were much wider to allow the drive to fit into the slots that hold the 3.5" main drive in the bay. The drive is inserted into the appropriate slot and snaps securely into place. I was looking for information on why my primary drive would not fit in the primary drive slot, but my secondary drive did fit in the secondary drive slot and I had no luck. I thought my explanation here might help someone else. On an HP ProDesk 600 G2 SFF computer, the primary and secondary 3.5-inch drives require different screws. Think for yourself. I also have a primary 2.5" SSD that I haven't played around with and have no idea what screws it needs.
