I currently have a small turtle in a 29 gallon aquarium. Since this tank is very high and the water level is kept low I wasn't sure if it would be effective enough. It's been a while and I can say this seems to be helping. I use a 5W UVB lamp and a 25W mini heat lamp. So far this setup has maintained a constant water temperature of 75 degrees with a bathing area of about 82 degrees about 15 inches below the light. I've never seen this turtle basking, but it's there when it wants to. I also took a 50W mini heater. a lightbulb in case the 25 watts currently used aren't enough in the winter when I keep the temperature at home a bit cooler.
