I currently have a small turtle in a 29 gallon aquarium. Since this tank is very high and the water level is kept low I wasn't sure if it would be effective enough. It's been a while and I can say this seems to be helping. I use a 5W UVB lamp and a 25W mini heat lamp. I've been using this product for over half a year and I'm very happy with it. Not sure why the other reviewers aren't getting enough heat from them as I tested with a conventional thermometer as well as an infrared digital thermometer and at 8 inches the temp was in the 83-86 range. [06/09/2018 Edit: I bought this in May 2015 and it's still holding up great. I still like to use non-Zilla 25w halogen bulbs with ReptiSun 5.0 UVB mini bulbs.
