A beautiful night light with 4 different lighting settings (low-medium-high-off) that can be adjusted by clicking. I bought this for my 3 year old granddaughter last month and she loved it. I've been waiting to write this review to make sure it works as advertised and it really does. It works for around 9 hours on low settings and is ready to go again in 3 hours with the USB charger (included). The stand is made of plastic but looks like wood. The sphere is also made of plastic and is strong enough to drop onto a carpet from a height of 3 feet (which it did within 5 minutes of receiving it). The granddaughter suddenly became interested in learning about the sky, the stars, planets and "the rabbit that lives on the moon". As long as you take the time to glue the stand together - like we did - so it doesn't get picked apart by prying hands, it should be perfectly safe for kids and a great gift for someone special.
