Doesn't distribute heat evenly

I traveled the Catalina Island with this set for about four days. There were two of us, so the big pot made sense. I also prefer cooking my own meals to pre-packaged dried foods. The saucepan is ideal for cooking liquid food. The frying pan almost burned. There was no heat distribution or regulation, so anything cooked on it just burned. Even when the food wasn't burnt, it had a burnt/slightly metallic taste from the burnt pan. I tried just holding the pan over a camp stove so the heat wasn't as direct as with scrambled eggs, but they still had a burnt taste. I don't know what this pan can be used for. We tried just quickly heating something up in a saucepan and burned that floor too. I've been cooking my own food since I was a teenager, so I have experience in this area. I'm not ruling out user error though as this was my first experience with titanium cooking. We had another small set of pans made out of standard cheap non-stick aluminum that worked better than this set. I can try to get a refund or I just have to give up. It's a bummer as it's on the expensive side.
