I recently bought my son a brown Carhartt Boys Big Cold Weather Boot sock and I have to say I'm very impressed. These socks are specially designed to keep your child's feet warm and cozy during the colder months and they certainly deliver on that promise. First, the material is thick and durable, making it ideal for hiking in snow and mud. The socks themselves are quite thick, but not so thick that your child's foot can't fit into the shoes. Secondly, the wool blend ensures that your baby's feet stay warm without itching or other discomfort. The size is quite large as my son has size 5 shoes and we bought a sock for size 3-9 shoes. His foot had plenty of room to move and grow, which means we'll be able to use these socks for at least another season. The only downside I found was that the brown color of the sock tended to attract dirt fairly easily, but that's a small issue that can be remedied with regular washing.
