This tank fit well. I purchased my usual size and it wasn't skin tight, but it was a bit too clingy for me, showing my muffin-top bulges. It's a "silky" material, not cotton knit, if that's what you're looking for. I also liked the modest neckline and the armholes were the right size, fitting snugly (but not tight). It had an unpleasant odor when I opened it, but I'm guessing that would wash out. If I had needed it for layering under something else, I might have kept it, but I wouldn't have worn it by itself, which is what I wanted it for, so I'm returning it.
