Review on ๐Ÿ”ช Precision Thin-Rip Tablesaw Jig by Flip Shaw

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Requires great care in use; not everything is so well made

I had two bad experiences with this device. Twice I seem to have pushed the ball bearing guide too hard against the material to break it and that stopped my table saw. The second time this happened I thought my motor had burned out but actually I threw a GFI breaker at the outlet. I also find the setting of the thin bandwidth a bit rough. There are markings, but no detents, say 1/16, 1/8, etc. Thus, perfect reproducibility from shot to shot is questionable. In my case, the jig fit into the slot of a table saw - an old Delta Contractor saw - and tightened so I didn't have the problems that others have reported. Overall disappointed with the quality and not trusting the setup not to mess with it. Even though it's only $20, I was hoping for more accuracy and repeatability - and of course, the blade not binding.
