I had this car mount for about a month and although it worked reasonably well for a few weeks it started showing its flaws after only a few weeks of use. As others have noted, the slot fits snugly in my car's CD slot (VW Jetta SEL 2012), but I noticed that after only a few weeks it wasn't staying firmly in the slot. After re-adjusting and tightening I tried again but it kept slipping out after a few hours of use, even with the car parked at work I could go back and see it slip out. I have found that the glue holding the rubber grips together is very weak as others have pointed out. At first I thought it might be due to the extreme heat we've had over the past few weeks, but it seems to be happening to others as well. As already described by others, the wing nut screw at the bottom is a bit annoying, I can deal with that, for others it may be annoying. I wouldn't recommend using it if you have the sat nav you are using in your car which is right under your CD player. managed to tighten it for the most part. However, my biggest concern is the fact that the slot brackets cannot hold the bracket in the CD tray. A really easy device to use and I prefer a phone holder with a CD rather than a clip on the dash or air vent.
